<p>One of the great upsides is not only getting the chance to listen to an avalanche of new bands, but also to listen to bands <i>they</i> love. Case in point: Bobby Boomerange &#8212; aka Dan Whitford from eMusic chart-wreckers <a href="http://www.emusic.com/artist/Cut-Copy-MP3-Download/11625885.html">Cut Copy</a> paid a visit to the noted Melbourne radio show <a href="http://www.rrr.org.au/program/noise-in-my-head/">Noise In My Head</a> to play some of his favorite songs for DJ Michael Kucyk. If you assume, because it&#8217;s Cut Copy, you know what you&#8217;re getting, you&#8217;re wrong. For example, he opens with a song by <a href="http://www.emusic.com/artist/Hot-Water-Music-MP3-Download/10561803.html">Hot Water Music</a>. Possibly huge down under? Mysteries upon mysteries. Hear the rest of Bobby&#8217;s selections by following the link below.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://17dots.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/radio-dj.jpg" alt="" title="" width="490" height="267" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1162" /></p>
<p>So tomorrow marks the occasion of 17 Dots episode #2 on East Village Radio, and I have to say, it is a much-improved edition. There is at least one instance of beat matching, one attempt at a pretentious sound collage and a whole lotta good music! Okay, one of those things sounds attractive at least.</p>
<p>Anyway, I wanted to remind everyone how to listen! The easiest way is to subscribe to our podcast in iTunes. To do that, click on the &#8220;Advanced&#8221; menu in iTunes, choose &#8220;Subscribe to podcasts&#8221; and then paste in this URL:</p>
<p>http://www.eastvillageradio.com/podcasts/19925/125.xml</p>
<p>And voila! Every time there is a new show, it will magically appear on your computer. Fancy!</p>
<p>You can also stream the show and download it (I will have those links in the morning), or you could just listen to it live by visiting <a href="http://www.eastvillageradio.com/modules.php?name=evrshow&#038;showid=125" target="blank">East Village Radio</a> tomorrow between 6am &#8211; 8am EST. Much appreciated, and full setlist (with eMusic links!) to come tomorrow. XOXOXOXO</p>
<p><b>Edited to Add:</b> Okay so I totally forgot another way to get the show, which is actually the most beneficial to 17 Dots. That&#8217;s to hit our <a href="http://eastvillageradio.com/modules.php?name=evrshow&#038;showid=125" target="blank">show page</a> and click the &#8220;Podcast XML&#8221; link, which will prompt you to sign up for the EVR site. Doing so let&#8217;s you subscribe to any other EVR shows (and there are plenty that are far better than ours!), and it gives 17 Dots official listeners for some sorta statistic tally thing (don&#8217;t ask me what; I just play the music). Anyway. Another way if you feel inclined. If not, still all hugs!</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok! So, show #1 is in the books, so let&#8217;s talk about how you go about hearing it! There are four ways:</p>
<p>1) You subscribe to the podcast in iTunes. As of now, 17 Dots on EVR is not officially in the iTunes podcast library, so to listen, simply click on the &#8220;Advanced&#8221; menu in iTunes, choose &#8220;Subscribe to podcasts&#8221; and then paste in this URL:</p>
<p>http://www.eastvillageradio.com/podcasts/19925/125.xml</p>
<p>Hit OK, and you&#8217;ll start downloading the show.</p>
<p>2) The second way is you click on the following m3u link, which will open up a stream in your media player: <a href="http://www.eastvillageradio.com/auto-archives/125/EVR-125-17Dots-09-19-08.mp3.m3u" target="blank">LINK</a>! Be warned that for the first show, the show before ran long, so our set doesn&#8217;t begin until about six or seven minutes in, and is cut off prematurely. The podcast is just fine, though.</p>
<p>3) If you don&#8217;t like fancy podcasting or streaming, you can download the sucker by right-clicking <a href="<a href="http://www.eastvillageradio.com/auto-archives/125/EVR-125-17Dots-09-19-08.mp3" target="blank">this link</a>. You&#8217;ll start downloading a rather large file that has the same timing issues as the m3u, but it&#8217;s another option.</p>
<p>4) You can also hit the <a href="http://www.eastvillageradio.com/modules.php?name=evrshow&#038;showid=125" target="blank">EVR site</a> on Friday&#8217;s between 6am &#8211; 8am EST and listen live! Any and all means are welcome, and so easy thanks to East Village Radio, who are rad x infinity.</p>
<p>Hope ya&#8217;ll dig it!</p>
