why in the hell would ANYONE listen Kanye West? The man has no class, is rude and does not deserve to be in the biz. Ignore him! Let him fade away….
The man has no class, is rude…
Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards weren’t exactly the pictures of class, either. Go watch how Dylan treats Joan Baez and Donovan in Don’t Look Back if you want an up-close look at rudeness.
Or for that matter, Google what Elvis Costello once said about Miles Davis…
kanye west is rude, and lacks ”class.” he is also one of a handful of the most compelling and best artists of this generation.
I don’t think i’ll google what costelo said about miles davis, because I don’t want to ruin my afternoon. I’ll just say that one of those two is a genius, and the other one is elvis costello.
Elvis used racial slurs against Ray Charles, not Miles Davis. Not that it matters who he was talking about, just clarifying a bit.
As far as Kanye goes, I enjoy the album, but I’m not seeing the masterpiece status that folks are placing on it.
Couple I did not see in anyone’s lists (Kudos to Jayson for Mentioning Das Racist They are definitly slept on)
B Dolan – Fallen House, Sunken City
Sage Francis – Best of Times
Aloe Black – Good Times
Ben Folds and Nick Hornsby – Lonely Avenue (Suprised Maris didn’t mention this one)
Bus Driver – Computer Cooties (Odd and it has to Grow on you)
Curtis Plum – Call My Cellphone (no really it’s awesome)
Jonsi – Go (How was this missed. . . or maybe I just didn’t see it there)
Major Lazer and La Roux – Lazerproof (ok that’s kinda cheating but it makes her songs much much better)
Open Mike Eagle – Unapologetic Art Rap (again it kinda has to grow on you)
