Holy shit you guys. It’s as if, in the last year or so, PJ Harvey has just been hanging out, listening to How to Dress Well and Zola Jesus and was like, “OK, you kids want weird? GATHER ‘ROUND CHILDREN, ZIP IT, LISTEN.” This is absolutely in step with everything happening in sub-basement indie rock right now — weirdo chillwave synth blanket, looped Niney the Observer sample, and vocal manipulated out the wazoo. This is from her forthcoming Let England Shake, which will be hitting eMusic on 2/15 on the mighty, mighty Vagrant Records, and which I am now officially excited for.
Off to add that date into my calendar…

can’t wait… the disappointing thing about the UMG additions is that I have everything by her anyway – looking forward to some fresh meat!
actually – no – i just realised i don’t have a couple of these albums anymore, so now have some more stuff to download!
