So in the quiet week between Christmas and New Year’s, I wanted to give you guys a heads-up on a new piece of functionality that we’re really excited about. I mentioned it on the message boards this morning, but you can now Browse all eMusic editorial. Just click on the Browse tab, and you’ll find the capability to browse all the editorial we’ve done, dating back 5 years.

We’re still working out a few of the bugs, so the odd thing here and there might look a bit funky, but if you have some vacation time this week, check any one of the vast number of interviews, features and profiles we’ve been doing here since 2004.

You can also get to another version of the archives from the top slot (“Explore…”) on any of the eMusic genre pages. I’ve enjoyed revisiting a bunch of these Q&As — hope you will, too!

Request: A way to ‘save’ editorial for later review, much as one saves albums. Sometimes I’m at work and see something I want to read and sample later when I’m at home and in downloading mode.

What a great feature! eMusic’s editorial content is one of the reasons I continue to subscribe.

I only continue to subscribe because Joe has a beard.

David – We’re working on it – for now, though, I wanna shout out an app I’m obsessed with called instapaper. You can add it to your mobile, too – it installs a little “read later” button in your browser, so if you come upon an article you like, just click “read later” and it will save it to your Instapaper account. You can then read it whenever you’d like — and if you have it on your phone, you can read it there, too.

Glad to hear it capt w — and p-clark, based on that info, I am never shaving again.

Good! This feature is long overdue. eMusic’s editorial content is the best thing about the site (and maybe the best collection of music critics online, period). There absolutely needs to be an easy way to search for eMusic’s editorial content.

Is there anyone who does Christian music editorials? How about the top Christian music downloads for 2009?

Hey Carrie – Actually, I was a Christian for the better part of my teenage years. You can always use the charts and filter first by genre (in this case, spiritual) and then by year to get a refined view of the top Christian music downloads. While you can’t look at a whole year at a time, you can look at the last month.

And while we’re at it, can I recommend a few albums? If you haven’t already heard them, I’d endorse –

The Choir, O How the Mighty Have Fallen

    Michael Knott, Hearts of Care

Daniel Amos, Darn Floor — Big Bite

    Mark Heard, Satellite Sky
