Today’s highlight for me is Ola Pordida’s new “Belly of the Lion” (http://www.emusic.com/album/Ola-Podrida-Belly-of-the-Lion-MP3-Download/11638887.html). It’s not going to get all the attention that the Avett Bros have been getting, but it’s a damn good folkymericana.

While I really like Cold Cave and their minimal tendencies, these guys along with Wierd Records and Martial Canterel (half of X&O) pioneered the return of minimal wave over the past half decade and deserve as much attention.

All analog equipment, no computers. I just love this sound and if anyone else out there is into analog synths, drum machines and old vintage equipment should check them out.
