It’s been years since I actually dressed up for Halloween. I chalk this up to a combination of laziness, lack of planning and the fact that I can never convince enough friends to buy into my dream of going out in a group as the cast of the video game Burger Time (I’m holding on to my chef’s hat and oversized pepper shaker just in case).

This year, we asked some of eMusic’s favorite artists to send in pictures of themselves from Halloween’s past, and the results — well, see for yourself. Some teasers? A 7th grade Bon Iver as Garth from Wayne’s World, Tim from Strand of Oaks as Top Gun’s Maverick and, as you can see above, the legendary Superchunk as the legendary Misfits.
