Two days ago a good friend of ours named Jess — an impeccable source for new music (it was through her that we found Port O’Brien, por ejemplo) — sent us a link to a band called the Generationals. Very quickly, we have fallen hard. Their record will be coming out in July on Park the Van, and we are very, very excited for it. Until then, though, you can click that link below and very easily stream the album — in high quality, too! We heartily recommend the fourth song, “When They Fight, They Fight.” So good.

btw apparently golden silvers is without a us release date. so it will not be going up for the u.s. on the 28th. still for europe, though.

ummmmm well they comb through the hundreds of new albums that come into eMusic (and the pre-release ones they get before they can upload them to eMusic) and filter out the shitty 95% of them and tell us about good ones, and they write reviews both here and on eMusic and they go out and party. . . I mean do work at clubs to find and report back the latest cool sounds on the block and they listen to dumbasses like me and the guy who says things like “so, what do you guys do all day? I mean you guys who work here.”
