raa in nyc this weekend!

I dunno how I have forgotten to post this all week long, but the Rural Alberta Advantage are playing two shows in NYC this weekend! Tonight they’ll be at Union Hall in Park Slope (they go on at 9:30), and tomorrow they’ll be at 92Y in Tribeca. Both shows are gonna be hot!

How do I know? Because the RAA came by the eMusic offices today, and played five songs acoustically with percussive backing from Paul and Amy utilizing pillows and chairs in the office. These included “Rush Apart,” “In the Summertime” (by request), two new solo songs from Nils that were incredible, and finally a very mournful, serious cover of “Eye of the Tiger.” It was awesome, and only cements our undying devotion to them even more.
