New Additions:

58 Johnson & Jonson, Johnson & Johnson
57 Okkervil River, The Stand Ins
56 The Kills, Midnight Boom
55 Kurt Vile, Constant Hitmaker
54 2562, Aerial

52 The Fireman, Electric Arguments
51 Titus Andronicus, The Airing of Grievances
50 Blacklisted, Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God
49 Eliza Carthy, Dreams of Breathing Underwater

Let’s roll through these: Joe and Jayson rep for Johnson & Johnson hard, and Joe loves Okkervil as well. The Kills was a Maris pick, and Kurt Vile is an awesome Alex find. Solid stuff. The last person I thought would make this list is McCartney, so #52 is a deserved surprise. Oh! Blacklisted are a hardcore band from Philly that Joe is into. All in all, a very solid selection of records.

And as a special weekend treat, tomorrow we’ll post everything up to #31. We’ll start the Top 30 on Monday.

Mother Earth! Father Sky!by Huun-Huur-Tu is a great album
I listen to it quite often.

Chosed to download Constant Hitmakerby Kurt Vile this time.
This concept of a one man band and his amp guitar is so cool. A briliiant pick.

    tnx yancey

I would have moved Benoit Pioulard, Temper and Kurt Vile down. I like the Kurt Vile album but it moved out of rotation a lot faster than Pioulard. I felt Temper was all over a much better album. The Vile was nice for an autumn drive but Pioulard was actually saying something.

The Stand-Ins was definitely one of this year’s best. I wasa bit disappointed by it at first, but I realized I needed to get over it not being The Stage names and move on, and once I did I really loved it.

I am considering the Fireman, though. The samples just sound out there.
