Most of the metal on the radio and MTV was so bad at that time. I'm not a metal expert, but some of the new bands (like Mastodon, High on Fire and Baroness) seem to have grown up listening to the same SST classics that St. Kurt was a fan of. For some reason I got a 404 error when I tried to listen to this show today. So I listened to Joe's last show (with the Top Choice Clique interview). I quite enjoyed it, but I have to say that I hated that Long Blondes song. Sara, I was about 5 years older than you when Nevermind came out, and I felt the same. My Coworkers are looking at me funny as I headbang to Rotten Sound. I think the VU song was a great intro "It took us a while to get here" and the show had come on late, was this coincidence or did you play the song because the previous show ran long?
