For the past two weeks or so, I’ve listened to the above song at least two or three times a day. It’s perfect. Such a big singalong thing, so Spaceman 3, so — again — perfect. We tried to get Girls for Selects way back in the spring (Alex loved ‘em first), but never got a response. Now we’re convinced they’re going to be the biggest band ever, and we will gladly be their superfans. There are no visuals with the video above, but just hit play, browse around, enjoy your day and get hooked. We’re working on making sure we get their record whenever it comes out. I was all “what do you mean ‘whenever it comes out’? I already bought it weeks ago!”
And then after a while I realized I was thinking of Women, not Girls…
Sigh. At least we seem to be past the time when every new band had either “wolf” or “eyes” in its name. That was really confusing too.

I’m still trying to sort out the Crystal Stilts, Crystal Antlers, Crystal Fighters and Crystal Castle.
My hometown favorites! They are great live too. Lead singer Christopher Owens just looks like a rock star. They are going to go far. Speaking of Crystal Stilts, I just saw their show here in SF and caught ‘Girls’ (the band) checking them out!
