There are just four days to go until the eMusic Selects Showcase, and to help keep momentum going, we’ve decided to spend each of those days focusing on a different band. Today’s featured artist: Breathe Owl Breathe. I fell in love with this band from the second I heard the sweet, lilting “Playing Dead,” but my affection only intensified after I interviewed them for the Selects Q&A. Micah and Andréa were both earnest and unassuming, their personalities perfectly reflecting their modest, engaging music. I am, of course, excited to see all of the acts on the bill, but Breathe Owl Breathe’s set might be the one I’m looking forward to the most. And for fellow fans: I’ve been informed that B.O.B. will have their new, self-released full-length for sale at the show. In other words, come bearing cash.
