I know the “edit cartoon/animatronic things to lip sync popular songs” meme is soooo two months ago but…I couldn’t resist this. “Ante Up” by the estimable, shouty M.O.P. is one of my favorite rap tunes EVER and seeing it like this is a surreal (and surprisingly satisfying) experience.
If you wanna hear “Ante Up” in its full glory (highly recommended!), it’s on The Underground Legends, alongside the choice pre-Kanye chipmunk soul jam “Cold as Ice.”
Slight aside: “Ante Up” was my ringtone for awhile, but I had to change it because it literally frightened me everytime it came on. I love the ‘Posse, but they almost never stray from their bread n’ butter: YELLING. LOUDLY.
