those darlins in the house

The eMusic staff was treated to an in-office performance by Those Darlins last week. The trio was in town from Murfreesboro, TN to record tracks for their upcoming record and got the toe-tapping started with a number about eatin’ chicken! A recycling bin turned into an impromptu drumkit and I snapped a blurry photo! Thanks for stopping by, ladies!

I second Sara’s hopeful request. And the fact that they’ve been opening for Deer Tick makes them even cooler in my book!
i met kelly darlin’ the other night and she was the coolest person ever. can’t wait to buy some of their music.
When is their album coming out?
don’t think it will be for a while. i guess they’re working with the same guy who produced vampire weekend (jeff?) this is all hearsay though. hope they come back to nyc soon!
