Disaster (BARR) @ Rivington Arms

Over the weekend I saw what was easily my favorite show of the year so far. Brendan Fowler makes music mostly under the name BARR, but for his gallery show at Rivington Arms which closed on Saturday night, he performed as his new project “Disaster”. Which basically ended up being a few new songs and about 4 old BARR songs. This post could get fairly long talking about all the altruistic and incredible things Brendan does, so I’ll spare the details and point you here if you’d like to find out more about him. Which you should, because he pretty much rules at everything.
I love BARR Patrick - I saw him play a really good show about a year ago at the Nog Gallery on Brick Lane. Different city, but it sounds like a similar kind of vibe.
So good, right?
I saw him a few times when I lived in L.A. too and it was always really inspiring to see someone doing something different on stage.
