A bunch of us 17 Dotters were at this show. So good. If you click through check out the second clip, a new song called “Oceanus” that’s my favorite song of theirs.

Was massively underwhelmed by these clips - the samples on eMusic sounded pretty good so maybe I’ll get the album and just not go see them live…. they seem to be one of those bands who are just to in the realm of pre-programmed sequences to be any fun to see live… the way the singer went over and twiddled with the DFA knob (Does Fuck All) occaisionally made me chuckle/wince… boy what a downer.. and its friday night!.. sorry!

Strangely enough, I had the opposite reaction, Skerzo… for the first time, I saw the appeal of this band, where I had originally written them off as a pair of nervous knob twirlers. They’re very disarming. I enjoyed it!

You know, I keep reading about this band being compared to Beat Happening. Maybe my reading on Beat Happening is a bit pedantic, but I don’t get that at all. What I feel a lot of his His Name is Alive between 1993 and 1998 (eMusic just got Mouth by Mouth, by the way, which is among their best).
