na: talib kweli, gram parsons

A totally not-bad Wednesday for new stuff!
Talib Kweli, Hostile Gospel Remix: Super-strong 2007 single from Talib Kweli, complete with gospel choir. Peep the video here:
International Submarine Band, Safe At Home: This might be the second or third time we’ve received this collection from Gram Parsons’ first band, but it’s the only one available now, so it’s still worth highlighting. This predates Parsons’ Byrds work, and contains some of his absolute best moments, among them “Blue Eyes” and “I Still Miss Someone,” the latter an absolutely wonderful tune written, I believe, by Johnny Cash. My dad and I used to play that one on guitar quite a bit.
Brian Jonestown Massacre, My Bloody Underground: New album from Anton and his rotating company. I’m not nuts about it, but then again I haven’t liked much from the past decade from Jonestown.
Sonic Youth, Master Dik: Ciccone Youth-style EP of covers and the title track, which originally appeared on Sister. For more info, head here.
Bobby Bare, 20 Bare Essentials: Collection of fantastic ’60s and ’70s country. Bare is a treat.
Jean Grae, Love Thirst: New single from Jean Grae. Not particularly special, though.
Kid 606, An Innocent Mess to Compress (Unedited Live Performance): Good bargain here, with an hour-plus of music coming in at two tracks.
Killer Mike, The Killer: 2006 mix-tape from OutKast collaborator.

Nice to see the Talib Kweli single added. It’s one of the strongest tracks on his record. I know eMusic has some artists on Downtown Records, a label that Mos Def recently signed to. It would be great if eMusic can get his new record.
Also, the Justin Townes Earle sounds like its going to be just lovely.

Yo that Kweli Jam is hott (LOL I said “HOTT” misspelling am fun)
and once again 17dots fails to mention the oh so loved Ace of Base with not 1, not 2 but six wonderful additions to eMusic.
We’re sorry, the persons responsible for this comment have been sacked. And now for something completely different.
(btw I’m only joking ace of base is nothing but nosalgia for most including me and I never bought one of their records (or cds or songs or whatever the Kidz are calling it today)
