It isn’t often a major band and their record company decide not to tell anybody about a forthcoming album until a week before it’s due to be released, so I was surprised to say the least when one of eMusic’s bigger labels informed me that was exactly what they’d done. Have I heard it? No, I only found out it exisited this morning. Do I trust the group on the basis of their previous album? Absolutely.
So who are they? Let’s say that the above picture of those two little guys, those broken toy soldiers, is a hint. And you might say, given their name, that the band are pretty good at telling stories.
Album on eMusic in Europe next week.
Truly, this news is a great consolation for the lonely people out there.
Wild guess… The Raconteurs? If so, I’ll have to save my downloads.

I went looking for this (USA resident,) and discovered that I cannot access it. Not only that, but all the White Stripes albums are gone. Nick Cave, too! With Tom Waits and Frank Zappa long gone, these losses combine to sadden me immensely.
