Not that there was a whole lot for eMusic folk to shout about at last night’s Grammyzzzzz, but you can see a list of all of the winners on eMusic here. Jazz and classical represented pretty well; the rest, not so much. I can’t even pretend to be surprised anymore.
PS: On a completely unrelated note, if you have one single download remaining and you dunno what to do with it, try “Sharks & Sailors” on June of 44’s Anatomy of Sharks EP. One of the greatest math-rock songs ever.
I dunno, I saw that list and thought it was a pretty good reepresentation here. And all quality. But then I’m one of those for whom the indie rock aspect of eMu is pretty irrelevant. Arcade Fire woz robbed etc etc and all that but I’m going to dl that Terrance Simien right now.
