Not that you need -- or are soliciting -- suggestions for future posts, but I'd really like to read the 17 Dots bloggers thoughts on the best, most interesting trends of the year.

I think this has been a great year for new music. I've read others who disagree, mostly because, in their view, 2007 lacked some revolutionary, paradigm-shifting trend (e.g., there was no "Smells Like Teen Spirit" breaking into the mainstream and inspiring the grunge movement). Anyway, for that reason, I'm curious to read about where you think contemporary music (of all genres) is headed, and what we might expect in 2008. (n.1)

(n.1) FWIW -- not much!, I know -- I think the most interesting trends of the year were dubstep, nu-disco (e.g., the "dark disco" of the Italians Do It Better label and the "Italio-disco" of stuff like Sally Shapiro's Disco Romance) and the developing Balearic sound.
