Thank you — absolutely perfect choice for a late Friday afternoon as we collectively race toward the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere.

Now that you’ve whetted our appetites, could you please work on licensing the entire Flying Nun catalog on eMusic? Or is that too complicated since all the rights now belong to Warner Music through various subsidiaries? It will take too long for me to rip the few records I own (mostly Homestead reissues, but that’s another story entirely). And there’s so much more that I never saw anywhere but my college radio station…

YES! Flying Nun would be aces! And make sure we can get it in the UK please

    UNRELATED:

Philip Cohran and the Artistic Heritage Ensemble.

    amazing jazz.

2 crucial reissues, new to the site: self-titled is most crucial. Malcom X tribute is also crucial. (both are live, incidentally.)

17 dots appears to have slept.

    don’t you sleep too.

p.s.: the self-titled record is actually (or at least originally was) called On the Beach. just, you know, fyi or whatever.
