yr year-end mix
03Dec07
So the past couple of days I’ve been working on compiling my annual year-end mix of favorite songs, but I’m convinced that I’m forgetting a ton. If you have already gotten to work compiling yours, please post the tracklisting below! Would love to catch up on some missed great tracks, whether they are on eMusic or elsewhere. Let’s hear yr suggestions, everyone.

Anything off the new Daft Punk live album should compliment your mix.
Can’t remember which of these are available on emusic. Just a few off the top:

Oh jeez, it’s December, how did that happen? Thanks for the reminder, time to start compiling the mixes and lists. Posting here when complete…!
This years possible #1 is such a mainstream name I hesitate to say it… but it IS on emusic.
kris roughly 60% of those songs are on my shortlist. and the ones i don’t know i am searching out right now. thanks!
I started sequencing this a bit, but then stopped (when I realized that I don’t have the time or talent to do the job properly). Having said that, I’m crazy about the songs on this list. I think it’s been the best year for new music this decade. Not a revolutionary year, mind you, but a great year, with nods toward a possibly revolutionary future (in the Balearic, dark disco, dubstep and electronic stuff). Anyway, here it is:

Do you have any contact with your programming\database department? It might not be too hard to write a script that would scan a Top 10 list, check if emusic offers the songs, and then output the same list with the titles hyperlinked to their emusic location.
I downloaded 8 songs so far from these lists, but it would be 50 if I didn’t have to search emusic for each one.
It would be a good application for other areas too. Lots of bloggers have “What I’m Listening To” lists, and it would be a good promotional item for Emusic if these lists could be automatically hyperlinked to Emusic’s library.
