breathe owl breathe
Patrick, The New Guy Here (he wrote this nice Mount Eerie post), has been on a rampage of turning us all onto music here in the office. Even Todd likes him! Dude, who is only about 9 years old, seriously knows his stuff, and is deep in The Scene, whether it be Michigan (where he grew up), LA (where he just lived) or Brooklyn (which he barely leaves except to come to the office). Anyway, the other day he was talking to all of us about this band Breathe Owl Breathe, a coupla nobodies back home in Michigan, and I found this YouTube clip that I’ve been watching repeatedly ever since. (Patrick even shot the video. How about that?) So good, so sweet, so sincere. A very good call. Is there anything else you’d like to share with the rest of the class, Patrick?

Check again, they appear to have two albums on emusic.

I had NO IDEA.
There goes my street cred…
Oh I love this. Listening to “climb in” right now – what a fantastic find! Wonderful – thank you.
Greetings. Yes Breathe Owl Breathe is great.. they just released a new album called Ghost Glacier… you can grab it, and other stuff, and find out more about ‘em at foxonahill.com or earthworkmusic.com…
If you like these guys, check out some of their friends stuff at the sites above.
Peace,
Jason
I have been a fan of Breathe Owl Breathe for several years and frequently travel to see them perform. They shine in front of an audience as we become an additional instrument for them. Their fan base spans generations. I’m a retired baby boomer and have neighbors with an 8yr & 6yr old who think of BOB as rock stars & play air cello while traveling in their car. Their performances are unique, inspiring, childlike & ageless. Get their albums & come to Michigan to see them.
Check out all the other bands that are featured through Fox on a Hill Productions and Earthworks music. They are all amazing and feature the best coming out of Michigan. In particular, Seth Bernard and May Erlewine, Steppin’ In It, Laura Bates and Brandon Foote… The list just goes on.
Yay Michigan!
