in love: move me

Sounding like an unholy union between LCD Soundsystem, Mr. Oizo and Todd Terry, Trickski’s “Move Me” has pretty much ruled my week so far.
Right, so nothing makes things better than breaking them down to examine them further, right? The beat is “Losing My Edge”-era LCD Soundsystem. It’s a silly, inconsequential thing that doesn’t sound like much at all, but it’s soon paired with an absolutely filthy bass (Mr. Oizo) that starts to guide it toward a bleepy melody. Things remain pretty spare, though, giving Hans Blitz room to wax lyrical about music that moves you…”from your temple to your guts/nuts.” All with a chord sequence seemingly swiped from Todd Terry. Quite a tune, be sure to check it out.
